Environmental Services
Going beyond EPA requirements with Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans geared toward preventing any oil discharge into or upon navigable waters of the United States or adjoining shorelines.
The Process
Assessment
Our field agents conduct extensive on-site inspections, reviewing drainage, tank/pipe design, tank containment, and oil loading/unloading areas.
Certification
Certified by a registered Professional Engineer (P.E), verified SPCC Plans confirm proper preparation and regulator compliance.
Documentation
Tailored, site-specific plans along with facility maps ensure your facility meets all state, EPA, and OSHA regulations. We deliver the final compiled plans directly to you.
Industries Needing SPCC Plans
- Do you store more than 1,320 gallons of oil or petroleum products in above-ground tanks?
- Do you store, transfer or consume crude oil, oil products, or chemicals?
- Does your facility use large amounts of oil to heat buildings and equipment?
- Do you store oil on-site including heating tanks?
- With all your equipment, storage, and oil use, could there be a reasonable expectation oil will be discharged into navigable waters or adjacent shorelines?
The EPA works on a worst-case scenario platform measured by the worst rainfall possible over a 25-year span, in a 24-hour period. Unless your company can prove that stored hazardous materials, including oil, will avoid navigable waters under these circumstances, an SPCC plan is required. If your facility and company fall into any of these categories, you may need an SPCC plan. Not sure if you are in compliance?
